NEW YORK, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks rebounded on Friday after congressional leaders expressed their confidence in reaching a debt deal to avert the fiscal disaster.
The blue-chip Dow gained nearly 0.4 percent on the close. The broader S&P 500 rose about 0.5 percent while the tech-heavy Nasdaq jumped nearly 0.6 percent.
